Shipping and Handling

Billed orders through Wound Care Resources:
Medicare B orders are shipped the day they are received if they are received before 2:00 p.m. CST. Orders billed to Medicaid or commercial insurance for the first time are typically shipped within 24-36 hours or after we receive a pre-certification from your insurance company. There is no cost for shipping.

WCR routinely ships By UPS Or Federal Express. 
Most orders are received in 1-2 business days after processing.

Purchased products through Advanced Medical Resources:
Advanced Medical Resources, WCR’s retail/distribution company, offers deeply discounted pricing for VAD patients. Orders received by 2:00 CST during normal business hours are shipped the day they are received and typically arrive at the customer’s door within 2 days. Only customers in Tennessee pay tax. Sales tax will be applied in accordance with state and federal laws.

Advanced Medical routinely ships By UPS Or Federal Express. 
Most orders are received in 1-2 business days after processing.

Shipping billed and purchased products together:
Wound Care Resources will gladly send your items purchased through Advanced Medical Resources along with billed items. Simply give us a call or write us a note on the contact us form, and request that we coordinate the shipping of your billed and purchased products. Boxes containing both billed and purchased products ship for free as long as the weight is not significantly affected and a larger box is not required. If the shipping weight is significantly affected or if the box size is larger due to the inclusion of purchased products, a flat $5.00 will be charged.

The following holidays will be observed by our office when standard shipping service is not available: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year ’s Day.

 

Returns and Exchange Policy for Products Purchased through Advanced Medical Resources

  • Only unopened, unused packages purchased from us and in perfect resale condition may be returned.
  • A restocking fee of 15% will apply to any return of purchased products unless a product is defective or incorrect products were shipped. 
Products purchased through special-order or not routinely carried by Advanced Medical Resources may not be returned for credit.
  • All returns of purchased items must be mailed back to us within 30 days of purchase.

Please use the following procedure for any return:

  1. Call the office to obtain an RMA number.
  2. Pack items carefully.
  3. Call us at (855) 400-2433 and tell the operator that you wish to obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. This number must be clearly placed outside the box.  Packages received without an RMA number will not be accepted and will be returned to you.
  4. Insure your package for the cost of your items.

Returned products will be inspected:
Once your purchased products have been considered to be in perfect resalable condition, your credit card will be credited for the returned items less the restocking fee.  All shipping charges are at the customer’s expense and are not refundable.

Returns due to product defect or incorrect products sent
If purchased products were sent in error or are defective, Advanced Medical Resources must be contacted within two days of delivery for an adjustment to be made.  We will issue you a Return Merchandise Authorization number to ship the product back to our office, and will resend the correct items at no cost for shipping and handling.  To request a return please call Advanced Medical at (866) 755-267. Please have the following information:

  1. Customer name
  2. Date of purchase
  3. Original invoice number
  4. Product item number
  5. Product name
  6. Reason for return.

Upon verification of the above information, our returns department will assign a return authorization number and process a request for a UPS pickup.

Returns due to shipping damage:
Damaged boxes should not be accepted upon delivery.  However, if you do accept or receive a damaged box and the contents have been damaged, please use our contact form or call Advanced Medical Resources at (866) 755-2677.

General Policies

Patients who have Medicare, Medicaid or commercial insurance and who know what supplies they need may contact the Wound Care Resources VAD hotline at (855) 400-2433 to determine if their insurance will cover the cost of dressing supplies. The patient may also ask his VAD team to initiate the process by sending a completed order form downloaded from this website.

Product Availability:

Advanced Medical Resources and Wound Care Resources cannot be liable for delays caused by a shortage of raw materials, manufacturing difficulties, delivery delays, labor disputes or any other issues beyond our control.

Backorders:

Backorders on our products are very rare.  However, if a backorder occurs, the shipping cost for purchased products will be adjusted for the cost of the order actually shipped, and your previously back-ordered products will be sent to you at a nominal shipping charge.

Substitutions:
Brand name products that have a chemical or biological effect on healing (primary dressings) will not be substituted without contacting the customer by phone or email. All dressings that are used to hold other dressings in place (secondary dressings like gauze, gauze sponges, gauze rolls, ABD pads, etc.) have been chosen by WCR for quality. Substitutions of these types of products will not affect the healing outcome of the wound. In rare cases a comparable product with a different brand name may be sent to fill the entire order in a timely manner.

 No personal information will be provided or sold to any other marketing organizations.
